Head Start & Early Head Start Programs

The Miami-Dade County Public Schools Head Start and Early Head Start program is provided in partnership with Miami-Dade County and is a federally funded programs that offers free, comprehensive services to income eligible children and families. We are located across 31 schools within Miami-Dade County Public Schools and offer services to children from birth to age 5.

What Do We Offer?

Full-day Educational Programs:

Early Head Start Program:	7:30AM - 5:00PM
Head Start Program:	8:15AM - 3:05PM

Child Development Screenings
Health and Nutrition Screenings
Free Breakfast, Lunch, and Snack
Parent Involvement Opportunities
Support Services for Children with Special Needs

Who is Eligible?

	Age	Income	Residency
Head Start Program	As of the Child’s 3^rd Birthday	Family’s Income is Equal to or Below the Poverty Line	Miami-Dade County
Early Head Start Program	Younger than 3 Years old on September 1^St	Family’s Income is Equal to or Below the Poverty Line	Miami-Dade County
